Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow would like to "fully restore" relations with Washington, during a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Sochi on Tuesday.
Putin said that during his phone call with US President Donald Trump on May 3 he "got the impression that the president [Trump] intends to restore Russian-American relations and contacts to resolve issues that present mutual interests."
The Russian leader said, "We have repeatedly said that we would like to fully restore our relations as well."
Commenting on the US Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, Putin said that although it was "exotic," it was "an objective study" that showed "no traces of collusion" between Moscow and Washington.
