While a large group of Donald Trump supporters were storming the US Capitol building in Washington DC on Wednesday, many NBA superstars were doing their battling on the court. After their matches, top stars such as Draymond Green, Kawhi Leonard and others spoke out against the behaviour of those who were storming congress in their post-match interviews.

"It's disrespectful. It's ridiculous and it's shameful to keep calling them protesters. They're not fucking protesters, they're fucking terrorists," stated Golden State Warriors' player Draymond Green.

Multiple NBA representatives spoke of perceived unfairness regarding how well yesterdays Congress invaders were treated by the police in comparison to how protesters representing Black Lives Matter were treated last summer.

"I watched it this morning, you know, it's crazy that you have that going on. You just see the privilege. You see the privilege in America and it's sad to see because if any of us was out there, I think it would've been tear gas, mace, probably gunshots, you know, said Los Angeles Clippers star player Kawhi Leonard.

"I will say it because I don't think a lot of people want to. Could you imagine today, if those were all black people storming the Capitol, and what would have happened? That, to me, is a picture that's worth a thousand words for all of us to see and probably something for us to reckon with," commented Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers.

The storming of the Capitol came after supporters of Trump had gathered for another round of the 'Save America' rally to protest the results of the 2020 US Presidential Election.

The protest was taking place on the same day the US Congress was formally certifying the electoral college votes, confirming Joe Biden as the next President of the United States.
