Dozens of anti-Lukashenko protesters gathered in Independence Square in Minsk on Wednesday.

Demonstrators formed a circle while singing, dancing, and chanting "One for all, all for one" and "Long live Belarus."

During the rally, President Alexander Lukashenko supporters could also be seen passing by protesters, while carrying state flags and chanting slogans.

According to news reports, no one was detained during the rally.

Belarus has been swept by anti-government protests following the disputed presidential election that saw incumbent president Aleksander Lukashenko re-elected for a sixth term. On August 19 the European Union announced sanctions against "a substantial number of individuals responsible for violence, repression, and election fraud" in Belarus.
