Supporters of Minga Indigena, a civil society group and nonprofit advocating for indigenous peoples in the Americas facing climate change, marched in Glasgow on Wednesday, as the COP25 climate summit was underway.

"Today we are marching as indigenous peoples. We have brought together our group, which is Minga Indigena and we are together with a lot of other indigenous groups that are coming to COP26 to have our voices heard. We would like to hear the voice of our elders especially," said Minga Indigena member Alejandro Fernandez.

Indigenous peoples, who are particularly vulnerable to climate change, have little representation in th talks. Minga Indigena was present at previous summits including in Paris, Madrid and Cancun.
