England national football centre-back John Stones discussed expectations, the fans, Raheem Sterling, and more in his final press conference on Friday ahead of England's historic Euro 2020 final with Italy.

Stones opened by calling the game 'huge' and discussed how the setting, London's Wembley Stadium, just adds to that size.

"It's huge, I think with it being at Wembley as well it's even more special. Something we could have only dreamt of at the start of the tournament. We're here to try and win it and we've got this far now," Stated Stones.

England has never reached this stage of a European Championship, a feeling that Stones acknowledged as 'unknown territory.'

"I think it is the unknown territory, that’s never been done before. Being part of that is something special and something I am proud of. We have come so far as a team, made so many big steps, made a lot of history. Sunday is another chance for us to do that," said the Manchester City centre-back.

Stones teammate at Manchester city, attacker Raheem Sterling, has been one of England's stand-out players, scoring three goals and winning the much-discussed deciding penalty against Denmark in the semi-final.

"I've said it all along, I am a big fan of Raheem [Sterling]. I would love to see him get player of the tournament. What he has done for us and the unselfish part of his game kind of goes unspoken about. As players we see it. He has been a great threat going forward and, how direct he has been in the games, it has been great playing with him," stated Stones.
