Exclusive footage filmed aboard the International Space Station (ISS) revealed Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov's view of the Earth's continents from his porthole on the ISS.
The video, taken between October 16-20, shows the Grand Canyon and Great Lakes of North America, South America, and the Pacific and south Atlantic oceans. The southern part of Israel, the Sinai Peninsula and the Gulf of Aqaba in Egypt, as well as countries of the Arabian Peninsula - Jordan and Saudi Arabia - can also be seen from the ISS porthole.
Borisov arrived at the ISS aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft with the Crew-7 expedition on August 27. The crew also included NASA astronaut and Crew-7 commander Jasmin Moghbeli, European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Andreas Mogensen and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa.
Borisov is the third Russian cosmonaut to travel to the ISS aboard a SpaceX rocket, after Anna Kikina and Andrey Fedyaev, who arrived at the station in October 2022 and March 2023 respectively.
