Russian cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov provided viewers with a tour of the American segment of the International Space Station (ISS).

Exclusive footage captured on September 15-19 shows the cosmonaut moving toward the American module of the ISS, where a gym is located and greeting fellow NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli.

"Cupola is the most beautiful module, of course. From here we have the most beautiful views of the Earth, look, it's floating below us, the clouds, the Pacific Ocean. And right here - it’s this kind of window we have in our gym," Borisov said.

The cosmonaut admitted that he often gets disoriented in the narrow passageways of the station, where the absence of gravity makes it easy to confuse the floor with a wall or ceiling.

"We see a treadmill, which is on the wall, and if we want to use it, we have to turn 90 [degrees] to the wall again, and now we are on the treadmill. It's really hard to get used to, it is still dizzying and it’s easy to even get lost in a familiar place because you don’t realise where the floor is, where the wall is. You actually orient yourself by the wall, you think it's the floor, hence you surprise yourself and get this unusual unpleasant sense of disorientation," the cosmonaut explained.

Borisov arrived at the ISS aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft with the Crew-7 expedition on August 27. The crew also included NASA astronaut and Crew-7 commander Jasmin Moghbeli, European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Andreas Mogensen and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa.

Borisov is the third Russian cosmonaut to travel to the ISS aboard a SpaceX rocket, after Anna Kikina and Andrey Fedyaev, who arrived at the station in October 2022 and March 2023 respectively.
