Supporters of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro marched in Caracas on Saturday, as the opposition held a 'popular consultation' rejecting the results of the December 6 legislative elections.
Maduro supporters were seen marching towards the city's Simon Bolivar Square.
"We will never disappoint you, we will never deceive you. We will continue working for our people to have the greatest possible amount of happiness," one protest speaker said.
Sunday's legislative polls saw President Nicolas Maduro and his ruling United Socialist Party claim control of the National Assembly, the last opposition controlled institution in the country, amid a boycott of the opposition. Opposition leader Juan Guaido has dubbed the election a 'fraud.'
