European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned Turkey of a "toolbox" that could be used in case it continues "provocations" in the Eastern Mediterranean, speaking after a summit of EU leaders in Brussels, Friday.

"We reaffirm strongly the solidarity with Greece and with Cyprus," she said, adding "we expect that Turkey abstains from unilateral actions" meaning drilling activities in the area. She added, that if Turkey doesn't comply, the EU has a "toolbox" that it "can apply immediately."

On the Belarus protests following the presidential elections, the European Commission president said that there's "finally a way forward on sanctions," adding that "there will be no impunity for those who are responsible for the crackdown on demonstrators and opposition politicians."
