Former US President Donald Trump mocked Democrat opponent Kamala Harris for giving the 'dumbest answers' during this week's presidential debate while speaking at the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes on Friday.

"This is why all of her policies changed. She was anti-fracking. She was anti-everything, and all of a sudden, she changed. Even the first question she was given at the debate... gave one of the dumbest answers, he said. "Nobody knew what the hell she was talking about."

Both Trump and Harris claimed victory on Wednesday following the 90-minute debate broadcasted by ABC News, while several local polls showed the Vice President had outperformed her Republican rival.

Harris called for a 'rematch' during a rally in North Carolina, while Trump announced that 'there would be no third debate' in a Truth Social post on Thursday.

"I thought the debate was great. I thought I did very well, but I was fighting three people. I was fighting the crazy left radical lunatics at ABC, I think, considered the worst by me, considered the worst broadcaster out there," Trump continued.

The Republican candidate warned that 'comrade Kamala Harris and the communists left' are destroying the US, denouncing his presidential rival, who served as San Francisco District Attorney, for turning California into a 'mess', labelling her as the 'godmother of sanctuary cities'.

"People are leaving, and nothing's going to stop them. They are going to other states, and some are going to other countries, but what they've done, Gavin 'Newscum' and Kamala, and I want to say Kamala more so, she destroyed San Francisco, she destroyed the state. When you look at the kind of destruction that's taken place, it's all man-made or woman-made destruction too," he said.

Trump also claimed Harris had lost not the backing of law enforcement agencies following the death of San Francisco police officer Isaac Espinoza during a 'very innocent traffic stop' in 2004.

"She didn't have the decency to call his family, never did, to explain her decision. Why would you do this? Why would you give such leniency to somebody that just killed the police officer but her son? This was a major reason why the San Francisco Police Officers Association has refused to endorse her in every single race since she became District Attorney," he said.

Trump will face off against Harris in the presidential election on November 5. Harris replaced incumbent Joe Biden as the democratic nominee after a slew of high-profile gaffes and a disastrous showing at the presidential debate in Atlanta led him to drop out of the race.

Trump described Harris's candidacy as a 'coup' against Biden after the current president insisted he was best placed to win in the days and weeks before he stepped aside.
