"There are protest actions today all over Russia, and actually all over the world and we're just joining them with our solidarity and support to political prisoners; to freedom," a protester said. "I hope one day we will see a free Russia," he added.
Protesters were heard chanting slogans demanding freedom for Navalny. Others carried signs with messages such as "Vaccine from corruption" and "Sanctions for Putin."
Mass protests calling for Navalny's release were held in different cities around the world on Sunday.
The opposition figure is currently under arrest until February 15, in Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention centre by the verdict of Khimki court. The Moscow Regional Court rejected the complaint of the Anti-Corruption Foundation leader's lawyers against the extension of the arrest to 30 days on Thursday, January 28. Navalny himself commented on the court's decision saying: "Everything was clear to me before the beginning of the court session."
