Description

Former US President Donald Trump criticised House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's recent visit to Taiwan, during an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.

"What was she doing in Taiwan? Everything she touches turns to... I don't want to say it because I don't want them to say 'he used FOUL language', you know. I don't want to say but it does, it turns bad," Trump said.

He went on to say that Pelosi played 'right into their hands' because now Beijing has an 'excuse to do whatever they are doing.’

"I will tell you it would never ever have happened in a million years under Trump," he concluded.

Speaking to a packed hall, Trump hinted at a run for president in 2024, while criticising the Biden administration.

He also strongly denied a story claiming he laid hands on a Secret Service agent during the US Capitol riots last year.

The former president's comments came as he won the GOP presidential nomination straw poll at CPAC, with a majority of 69 per cent.
