Description

Hundreds of counter-protesters gathered in Huntington Beach, South California, on Sunday, to demonstrate against a planned 'White Lives Matter' rally for which only a handful of supporters showed up.

Tensions were high and scuffles erupted between both sides and several arrests were made throughout the protest.

One White Lives Matter supporter got punched in the face while another had blood on his chin after to an altercation with counter-protesters.

A heavy police deployment guarded the area.

“The KKK never ended, they are alive, they may not wear the sheets and the costumes they used to but they wear regular clothes and they are also still active, creating racism and trying to harm people of colour,” said a counter-protester.

Sister rallies were planned in several cities around the United States although all of them flopped and most were outnumbered by counter-protesters where these took place.
