Social media footage captures the sound of gunshots ringing out in the west German town of Hanau late on Wednesday, as a deadly mass shooting took place.

At least eight people were reportedly shot dead in the town, which is near Frankfurt, after an attacker opened fire at two shisha bars.

According to police the suspects are still at large.
