Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel had conducted 'precise' operations on 'three different fronts' against Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah during his first remarks following the airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut which killed militant commander Fouad Shukur.

"Three weeks ago we attacked the chief of staff of Hamas Mohammed Deif. Two weeks ago, we attacked the Houthis in one of the farthest attacks of the air force. And yesterday we attacked the chief of staff of Hezbollah Fouad Shukur, called Mohsen," he stated at a press conference in Tel Aviv.

"In my speech in front of the Congress that took place several days ago I have mentioned three main arms of this axis of evil: Hamas, the Houthis and Hezbollah. The three arms. In recent days we have given a blow to each one of them."

The IDF announced on Tuesday the 'elimination' of Fouad Shukur, Hezbollah's senior military commander, descrbibg him as the 'right hand man' of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The death of Shukur, also known as 'Hajj Mohsen', who assumed significant roles in the group including a member in the party's shura council, was confirmed by Hezbollah.

In July, the Israeli military announced the elimination of the head of the military wing of Hamas in a raid on al-Mawasi area in Khan Younis. Israeli jets had also launched an airstrike on al-Hudaydah in Yemen in retaliation to a Houthi drone attack on Tel Aviv.
