Description

Football fans were seen gathering at Bafoussam Regional Hospital on Wednesday to receive COVID-19 vaccinations, after organisers of the African Cup of Nations announced that full innoculation against the virus would be required for all attendees.

Crowds of people descended upon the hospital ahead of the match, which gave COVID-19 vaccines in addition to tests.

Local resident Tekam Gaius stated that the vaccine would allow him to watch the football game in 'peace' without worrying about being infected or infecting others.

In December, the Confederation of African Football announced that attendees at the African Cup of Nations in Cameroons would need to be fully-vaccinated against COVID-19, in addition to having a negative test against the virus, to enter.
