Trump was speaking at the White House in Washington DC, later that day, as he awarded wrestler Dan Gable the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
"Rudy is doing well. I just spoke to him. He's doing very well. No temperature. And he actually called me early this morning. He was the first call I got. No, he's doing very well. That's another champion," he said, calling Giuliani the "Greatest mayor in the history of New York."
Trump went on to reiterate allegations of widespread voter fraud, saying the United States is "like a third-world country."
Giuliani has been leading the legal effort to overturn the results of the November 3 elections, filling dozens of court cases, many of which have been dismissed or withdrawn.
Trump has yet to formally concede the election to President-elect Joe Biden, though his own attorney general, Bill Barr, has said no evidence has been found of widespread voter fraud which could have affected the outcome of the election.
