On Friday, thousands of football fans gathered outside the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas ahead of the Group D Copa America clash between Paraguay and Brazil.

Footage shows Brazilian fans draped in yellow and green as they waved their nation's flag and danced to the beat of drums. Meanwhile, Paraguay supporters were clad in red, white and blue, chanting and cheering ahead of the much-anticipated Latin American showdown.

"1-0 today, it is okay for us. We just want to win today. We have to win!" said one Brazilian fan

"Brazil. We are going to win, for sure. As there is no chance for them, I'm sorry, no Paraguay." chanted another.

During the match, five yellow cards and a red card were issued. Andres Cubas received a red card in the 81st minute, leaving Paraguay to play the remainder of the game with ten men.

"We have players, but they put us on the field. I hope that today, the coach puts in the best. I hope our technicians are now sober up a bit," said one Paraguay fan.

Brazil has four points, putting it two points behind group leader Colombia. This comes after Colombia's 3-0 victory over Costa Rica earlier on Friday. If Brazil wins or draws against Colombia on Tuesday, they will secure one of the two spots in the knockout stage.

Paraguay will not progress to the next round, resulting in a tense exchange between coach Daniel Garnero and reporters who questioned the team's ongoing difficulties in the tournament. Paraguay has won the Copa America only twice, with their last victory recorded in 1979.
