Police launched water cannons at protesters rallying against the government of President Sebastian Pinera, in Santiago, on Friday.
Protesters threw projectiles at police while police tried to disperse protesters launching water cannons and tear gas.
Protesters also built a fire surrounding the statue of General Manuel Baquedano on Plaza Baquedano, police later dispersed protesters.
According to police authorities 63 people were arrested.
Demonstrators are demanding the release of detained protesters, as well as economic reforms and the resignation of Pinera.
