Description

Hundreds took to the streets of Nuremberg to protest the German government's involvement in arming Ukraine, as well as COVID-19 measures and other policies on Monday.

Footage shows protesters chanting slogans and holding banners reading 'Say yes to Russian Gas', 'No to sanctions', and 'No weapons to Ukraine', as they marched along the streets of Bavarian city.

"Yes, in general, not just against the measures, but also against the war, against inflation, and so on. As a leftist, I am against the whole system," said Norbert, a protester from the 'free left'.

"I am for peace and no war, no weapons and of course I am for the release of Assange and also Ballweg," said another activist, Mrs Stettfeld, referring to Michael Ballweg who founded anti-COVID measures group 'Querdenken 711' in 2020, and is now in custody.

As part of Germany's support for Ukraine, Berlin provides an array of lethal and non-lethal aid to Kiev amid Russia's ongoing offensive.
