"There is a shared responsibility throughout the world...the Paris Accord, we participated, personally we weren't agreeing on much but it was an important step. The United States abandons the Paris Accord," Morales said.
The Bolivian President went on to say that international aid was "coming in little by little" and that "we hope, like always, to give it a good use for the good of mother earth and fundamentally to defend biodiversity."
Morales announced on Sunday that he is suspending his campaign for re-election to tackle the wildfires at a news conference, where he also welcomed international aid and called for regional cooperation.
