Demonstrators stood against the alleged actions of the Santiago police on Friday, after a young man was seriously injured after falling into the Mapocho River. The man was allegedly pushed by a police officer who was attempting to arrest him. The injured man has fractured wrists and cranial brain trauma, he remains in a serious condition at the Santa Maria Clinic. The police officer responsible was detained and accused of attempted murder, as confirmed on Saturday by the North Central Prosecutor's Office.
