Ambulances rushed to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, following an Israeli airstrike on the Zawida area at dawn on Saturday. The strike left at least eight people dead and several others injured.

Ambulances could be seen arriving at the hospital with injured and dead bodies on board. Injured children trying to seek medical in the overcrowded hospital were spotted as well.

The Palestinian Civil Defense in Al-Wusta Governorate confirmed the recovery of eight bodies as a result of the Israeli shelling.

An IDF statement reported that the Israeli army carried out operations in the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, claiming to have 'eliminated several terrorists, including a person firing rockets at the forces in the area.'

The Hamas-Israel war erupted after Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on southern Israel on October 7, killing 1,139 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping over 200, according to Israeli officials.

In the enclave, the IDF launched a large-scale campaign of airstrikes and ground incursions, killing 40,005 Palestinians and injuring more than 92,401 others as of the time of publication.
