Description

Protesters were seen gathering at the police headquarters during the daylight and continued demonstrating into the night, Brooklyn Centre, Saturday. People came to protest the police killing of 20-year-old Daunte Wright.

People were also heard chanting slogans against the recently imposed curfew that lasts from 23:00 Saturday until 06:00 Sunday.

Wright was fatally shot by officer Kim Potter after being pulled over by law enforcement last Sunday.

Potter, a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center Police Department subsequently announced her resignation on Tuesday, as did police chief Tim Gannon.

Potter has since been charged with second-degree manslaughter, though protesters continue to demand murder charges be brought against her. City officials have imposed a curfew after several nights of protests.
