Description

Demonstrators, including the family and friends of killed Daunte Wright, marched through Brooklyn Center on Sunday.

The demonstration was seen blocking several intersections as people marched to Brooklyn Center Police Department.

Wright, a 20-year-old Black man was fatally shot by officer Kim Potter after being pulled over on April 11.

Potter, a 26-year veteran of the Brooklyn Center Police Department subsequently announced her resignation, as did Tim Gannon, the police chief of Brooklyn Center, north of Minneapolis, where the fatal shooting occurred. Potter has since been charged with second-degree manslaughter in the death of Wright though protesters continue to demand murder charges be brought against her.
