Description

Former US President Donald Trump claimed that DPRK leader Kim Jong Un 'misses' him, as he addressed the final day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday.

"I got along with him, and we stopped the missile launches from North Korea," he claimed. "Now, North Korea is acting up again. But when we get back, I get along with him. He'd like to see me back too, I think he misses me, if you want to know the truth."

Trump added that he was 'not a bragger' but that Hungarian PM Viktor Orban had revealed how much influence he had on the global stage.

"He said Russia was afraid of him (Trump). China was afraid of him. Everybody was afraid of him. Nothing was going to happen, the whole world was at peace, and now the world is blowing up around us," he continued. On foreign policy, he also said that his administration had "defeated 100 percent of ISIS in Syria and Iraq."

"Our opponents inherited a world at peace and turned it into a planet of war, we are a planet of war. Look at that attack on Israel. Look at what's happening with Ukraine," he said. He also alleged that "Russia has nuclear submarines and warships 60 miles away."

The leaders of the DPRK, China and Russia have not reacted to Trump's claims at time of publication. His speech concludes the RNC, while the Democratic convention is scheduled for next month.
