Description

Residents of Xinjing Town in Changning District of Shanghai were queuing at COVID-19 test centre on Sunday amid a surge of positive cases throughout the country.

"Our residential compound was sealed off since March 16, and we've done four times of testing. I just got my fourth COVID test," said Yang Ling, a local resident.

During the lockdown living necessities were delivered and shelved outside the gate of Xinjing Town. Volunteers helped the residents of the closed compound to receive their packages.

Over 29.000 new cases have been registered in China since the beginning of March and especially the metropolitan area of Shanghai has been affected, as one case of death related to COVID-19 has been reported.
