Description

US President Donald Trump said he would end up winning the 2020 US presidential election during his first post-poll rally in the Georgia city of Valdosta on Saturday.

Trump called on supporters to vote for David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, two Republican Senate candidates facing a runoff on January 5 which will determine which party controls the US Senate.

Trump also repeated unfounded claims that the presidential election was rigged before repeating "we will still win it."

"You will decide whether your children will grow up in a socialist country or whether they will grow up in a free country," the US president told the crowd.

Trump also touched down on the COVID-19 vaccines, saying they would be starting "next week."

Trump has alleged widespread voter fraud following the election results, with his lawyers launching a series of court cases in an attempt to scrutinise the results. They have yet to show substantial evidence of voter fraud.
