Olympic champion Yulimar Rojas arrived home to a hero's welcome at the Simon Bolivar International Airport near Caracas on Tuesday.
Hundreds of fans greeted her as she landed more than a month after she smashed the women's world record in Tokyo with a triple jump of 15.67 metres (51.41 feet).
Following her Olympic success, Rojas then went on to come first at the Diamond League meet in Zurich.
The athlete traveled by open top bus to the Venezuelan capital of Caracas, on the journey she was cheered by more delighted fans.
