Description

Dozens of protesters marched and chanted through the streets of Kenosha on Sunday to condemn the courts' decision not to convict Kyle Rittenhouse.

18 year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, accused of killing two people and shooting another during racial justice protests in Kenosha in August 2020, was acquitted of all charges on Friday.

Many of the protesters held Black Lives Matter banners and chanted popular slogans related to the group.

"This is historic, the young man shot somebody, murdering them, on tape, he admits to it on stand. Yet he goes home, if it was an African American young man carrying that style of weapon, there would have been no court like that like for Jacob Blake, he would have been shot down in the damn street and that would have been the end of the story," remarked a speaker during the protest.

Rittenhouse was charged with five felonies as he fatally shot Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, as well as wounding 27-year-old Gaige Grosskreutz.
