Hundreds of people gathered in Strasbourg on Tuesday to attend a campaign rally for incumbent French President Emmanuel Macron, ahead of France’s April 24 presidential runoff between him and far-right leader Marine Le Pen.

One of the attendees remarked on the need for Macron to convince her with a change on retirement plans and the vaccination pass, while another one described him as a good president, stressing his balanced actions and his presence regarding the situation in Ukraine.

"Europe will continue to support democracy fighters, such as the Ukrainians," said Macron during the rally.

During the rally, Macron alluded to plans by far-right candidate Le Pen to leave Europe under a so-called "Frexit" plan.

"Projects which, without saying it or by saying it, propose to leave Europe, they weaken it. What we need together is to be militants of humanism anew, militants of Europe, militants of hope," he concluded,
