Foreign ministers of CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organisation) member countries held a meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s press office, they discussed the co-ordination of positions on the main items on the agenda of the 77th UN General Assembly session. The ministers also talked about how to strengthen the CSTO’s interaction with the UN, particularly regarding involvement in peacekeeping missions.
They also reviewed preparations for the upcoming Collective Security Council session in Yerevan.
The CSTO consists of Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
