Description

Dozens of cyclists held a demonstration in London on Saturday to express their support for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is facing charges related to the publication of classified US military documents.

Footage shows demonstrators with their bicycles holding banners and signs, including 'Free Assange' and 'UK don’t extradite Assange.'

"All over the world people are taking a stand for Julian because more and more people are understanding that his freedom is our freedom, and if they can do this to him, they can do this to anybody," said one of the demonstrators.

The WikiLeaks founder has been imprisoned in the UK since 2019, where he is awaiting a final hearing of his appeal against the British government's decision to extradite him to the United States.

He faces charges in the US for releasing over 700,000 confidential documents on American military and diplomatic actions, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan, starting in 2010.
