Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris warned Republican frontrunner Donald Trump against picking a fight 'over our most fundamental freedoms' during a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Saturday, saying 'bring it on' as she looks to take on the former president in November's elections.

"Hear me when I say, I know Donald Trump's type," Harris said, "but the court's going to take care of that. We're just going to beat him in November," the US vice president told her supporters.

Harris also vowed to support America's working families, pledging to cut taxes on service industry tips and raise the minimum wage.

"I promise to everyone here, when I am President, we will continue our fight for working families of America, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers," she said.

It comes after US President Joe Biden, who was participating in the presidential campaign until July, announced that he would not seek re-election on July 21 via X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

Biden dropped out of the race amid growing concerns over his mental and physical capabilities following a slew of high-profile gaffes and a disastrous showing against Trump in the first and only presidential debate of the election season.
