Members of the Armenian diaspora and the Armenian Apostolic Church in Tehran began their Christmas preparations on Wednesday, as they headed to stores to do Christmas shopping.
Footage shows customers flocking to Christmas stores, which displayed decorations and toys of different shapes outside.
"People's views have become much more open, they have learned to respect different religions and festivals much more, and everyone welcomes celebrations and things that make happiness. Maybe they don't buy much, but the atmosphere is very cheerful and everyone is happy about the happiness of others," said Saba, one of the citizens.
"This is the first time I have come to this street and I know that it is related to the Armenians of our country. The welcoming was very attractive to me, well, we, the Muslims, come here to visit and for us, the elements that symbolize dear Christians are very attractive," a Muslim resident visiting the neighbourhood said.
Iran's constitution grants local Christians the same rights as other Iranians, including the right to hold religious events.
