Hundreds of USA and Panama fans were seen cheering near Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta ahead of highly awaited Copa America 2024 face off on Thursday.

Footage features supporters wearing red, blue and white colours, waving flags of Panama and USA, and cheering.

The fans of both teams expressed their excitement for the upcoming game.

"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to come and, you know, see the US play, especially in Atlanta. So I'm just, I'm so excited," said USA fan, Jonathan.

"Its a hard game. We are facing the host, USA, but Panama comes to do the work and will win 1-0," said Panama fan Marcos.

The US team, shorthanded after 18t-minute red card to forward Tim Weah, lost 1-2 in an intense second group stage match. Despite hard-fought efforts, US team could not beat its rival as Cesar Blackman and Jose Fajardo from Panama team scored on 22nd and 83rd minutes to get a victory.

US is expected to play its final Group C game on Monday against heavyweight Uruguay to qualify for the quarter-finals, while Panama will face off with Bolivia.
