"China has been optimizing and improving prevention and control measures, co-ordinating epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, and has achieved major positive results," Zhao Lijian, the spokesperson, said.
"The United States won the two world 'champions' in terms of the covid infection and death cases, and the United States is not qualified to criticize the effectiveness of China's epidemic prevention and control,” Zhao said, “What the United States should do is to seriously respond to the voices of its own people and do its own thing well," he added.
