Description

The leaders of the G7 posed for a group photograph with the heads of state and government of several Asian countries, Chad's President Idriss Deby, European Council President Donald Tusk, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and the heads of a number of international organisations following the G7 outreach meeting in Ise-Shima, Friday.

As the G7 summit has not been held in Asia for eight years, this year's outreach meeting was aimed at exploring ways to sustain the well-being of Asia.

The heads of state and government of several Asian countries attended the meeting including leaders from Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as well as Chad's president and the Chairperson of the African Union. Representatives from international institutions including the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Asia Development Bank (ADB) and the United Nations (UN) were also in attendance at the meeting.
