Dozens of Santas sailed through the canals of Venice on Saturday, celebrating the traditional 'Babbo Natale' (Santa Claus) Regatta on the Grand Canal, organised by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.
Despite restrictions due to the new outbreaks of COVID, 24 sailors took part in masquerade this year, dressed as Santa and with the boat decorated as a sleigh.
This year's participants also included several women, ten female sailors in total.
