Expo 2020 Dubai was originally scheduled to be held from October 20, 2020, to April 10, 2021 but was pushed to October 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new edition will now taking place from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022.

First held in London in 1851, this year's World Expo edition is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) region, as well as the first to be hosted by an Arab country. Pavilions from 192 nations will be present during the event.
