Description

Germany's team chief Dirk Schimmelpfennig has said that the quarantine conditions have improved though he raised concerns about the situation following talks with Olympic officials in Beijing on Sunday.

The conditions have been a target of criticism in recent days with athletes claiming they were not receiving adequate food or training equipment in quarantine.

Athletes who test positive for COVID-19 but do not have symptoms have to go to an isolated quarantine hotel, those with symptoms are admitted to hospital. Neither those with symptoms or without will be allowed to compete in the games unless they are cleared by a doctor.
