Chinese President Xi Jinping sent his congratulation to Emmanuel Macron on his re-election as French president, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin announced during a press conference in Beijing on Monday.
"Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory message to President Macron on his re-election. As President Xi Jinping stressed in his congratulatory message, the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and France has maintained a high level of development over the past five years" Wenbin said.
