New Zealand's Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won the country's first-ever Winter Games gold medal after her performance in the women's slopestyle snowboarding on Sunday. She addressed reporters on the historic victory at a press conference in Zhangjiakou.

"To win the first New Zealand Winter Olympic gold honestly meant so much to me, so I can’t believe it, but I managed to do it. I’m just super proud to be Kiwi, hope I made everyone at home proud," said Sadowski-Synnott.

The Beijing Winter Games started on February 4th and will last until February 20th. After that, the Paralympic Winter Games will begin on March 4th, lasting until March 13th.
