In keeping with the rules announced by the Orthodox church, this year only 50 per cent of the faithful were able to attend the religious event. This was more than last year, where entry was limited to 20 people, including priests and deacons.
The Coptic Church spokesman stressed that these procedures and capacity are to ensure the optimal application of precautionary controls.
The measures will be extended to all churches and instructions, including the compulsory reservation before attending mass.
