Workers from the popular economy, cooperative members, and street vendors came together for a special Christmas Eve celebration in Congress Square in Buenos Aires on Sunday to welcome around 2,500 people from vulnerable sectors, including those living on the streets and humble families struggling to afford a Christmas Eve dinner.

The footage shows the organisers preparing food for the participants, as well as designated areas for children playing with joy and happiness, celebrating Christmas. Areas for haircuts and make-up for women can be seen. There is also a table filled with food and sweets in an atmosphere of joy and singing.

"The truth is that I am going to be here at the congress sharing a Christmas with the humblest people of our country, guaranteeing a plate of food and accompanying is what we always plan, that is, no family without Christmas and no family without a roof," said Alejandro Jabier Valenzuela, Christmas organiser.

This event titled, 'No Family without Christmas,' organised by social organisations like the Movement of Excluded Workers (MTE), aims to bring joy to those facing difficult circumstances during the holiday season.

"For me, the economic situation is very strong, very strong, I am retired, I earn 100,000 Argentine pesos, I pay a rent of 80,000 Argentine pesos and I don't get," explained Maria Angelica, a retired participant.

"Every day I go to eat at, the canteens at noon like noon at night I don't eat, at night I go out and order food on the street, it's very complicated for families. I don't know how they will do it at home," shared Leonard, a participant.

The event has garnered support, with 2,000 volunteers stepping forward to lend a helping hand in the organisation of this celebration.
