Footage shows cafe customers listening to coach's instruction, climbing, enjoying the ocean view from a sitting area made right on the cliff, and riding a zip-line as part of the adventure. Visitors could also be seen posing and taking pictures while en route.
"It was so thrilling, extremely exciting! We compared it to being on the edge, as we had never experienced this feeling before. It was truly something very fresh and new for us," shared a tourist.
A cafe visitor Tik claimed that "life is all about being brave enough to try new things. Many times, once you take that first step, you'll discover a lot of unexpected experiences waiting for you," remarking that even one who has a fear of heights will be fine after taking 'that step out'.
According to the cafe co-founder, the climbing route experience costs 398 yuan (51.8 EUR, 55.3 USD) and includes not only coffee but also a 90-minutes journey to the cliff.
Talking about the story of the cafe creation, he said 'it happened very quickly' when they arrived at Gushi village and saw the stunning view of the mountains and the sea.
"We felt that we could do something very interesting here, integrating our past experiences into this setting. We wanted to combine it with the village's rural revitalisation efforts, allowing our interests and hobbies to merge into this meaningful project," the co-founder persisted.
He added that it took them less than two months "from the initial idea to launching the business," and now they can see the area coming to life while exploring other 'natural values within the village'.
According to media reports, the Cliffside Cafe was funded by the local government with a grant of 1.5 million yuan (195,402 EUR, 208,365 USD), and it aims to encourage tourism and support China's rural revitalisation initiatives.
