Description

Dead and wounded Palestinians were brought to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah on Thursday, as Israel Defence Force (IDF) strikes on Gaza intensified.

Footage captures the arrival of the bodies of the dead and the wounded at the hospital, as relatives of the deceased are seen gathering to pray over the bodies of their loved ones.

The official Palestinian news agency, Wafa, reported that three people were killed and four wounded in an IDF airstrike on a house belonging to the al-Dabaki family in al-Maghazi camp on the outskirts of Deir al-Balah. It added that intense IDF artillery shelling battered the area to the east of Deir al-Balah.

The agency also said that 11 people were killed in IDF strikes in the towns of Beit Lahiya and Jabalia.

The IDF announced in a statement that it had targeted ‘Hamas terrorist infrastructure in Khan Younis and the outskirts of Deir al-Balah’. It noted that its troops had ‘intensified their operational activities in the area’ and ‘dismantled terrorist infrastructure sites, located rockets, and eliminated terrorists in the area’.

The Hamas-Israel war broke out after Hamas launched an attack on southern Israel on October 7, killing 1,139 people, mostly civilians, and kidnapping over 200 who were held captive in Gaza.

In the enclave, the IDF conducted a large-scale campaign of air strikes and ground incursions, killing at least 40,265  Palestinians and injuring more than 93,144 at the time of publication.
