Description

Israeli activists arranged toys in an installation in memory of children killed in the recent conflict between Gaza and Israel, in Tel Aviv, on Sunday.

Rows of toys were lined up in the centre of the city, with a sign reading "War is not a game."

Activist Moria Shlomot said, "This morning we placed the installation in centre Tel Aviv, in memorial of 67 victims, children that were killed in this terrible and unnecessary conflict in Gaza and in Israel."

"Our message is the war is not a game, we need to take the children out of the cycle of violence horror and terror, not to involve the children in this unnecessary war," she added.

A ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was agreed upon on Thursday with the mediation of Egypt after 11 days of escalation. The fighting led to 248 fatalities on the Palestinian side, including 65 children, and 12 on the Israeli side, two of whom were children, according to the respective authorities.
