US President Donald Trump was spotted patting his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the back, before the two leaders joined others to pose for the G20 group photo in Osaka on Friday.

Putin was also seen giving the same greeting, though not to Trump, but to Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The 14th G20 summit will see world leaders discuss the most important financial and economic issues of the day. Trade, climate change and international crises look set to be top of the agenda. A number of bilateral talks will also take place on the sidelines of the summit.
