“Life is gradually returning to normal, thanks to His Majesty, the assigned delegation, and the local authorities for their great efforts,” said local resident Ibrahim.
Footage captured on Tuesday shows locals and officials assessing the damage.
"After the earthquake, things returned to normality. Everything is available in the markets. There are no changes or problems whatsoever," shared another local.
Meanwhile, Mohammed al-Mansouri, the head of Social Affairs and Co-ordination in the Ouarzazate region, explained that the regional committee, led by the mayor of the Ouarzazate region, was actively overseeing the provision of essential goods.
"The markets are being regularly and scientifically supplied with the various basic needs," he said.
The 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck southwest of Marrakech on September 8, resulting in the loss of nearly 3,000 lives and injuring thousands more.
According to local authorities, the earthquake claimed lives in the provinces and municipalities of al-Haouz, Marrakech, Ouarzazate, Azilal, Chichaoua, and Taroudant.
Morocco has welcomed help from countries like Qatar, Spain, the UAE, and the UK, who have sent search and rescue teams. These international teams are working together with Moroccan authorities to provide crucial assistance in the aftermath of the disaster.
